He is a young and aspiring artist that focuses on artworks that are accented with bold and strong statements about Burmese agricultural everyday life. 
Dawei Lay has done 5 solo shows and participated in more than 50 group shows locally and internationally, he also made a name for himself with his 2011 exhibition ‘A Certain Stillness’. Since then, he has had a solo show in Sweden and has exhibited in Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Norway, Sweden, New Zealand, and the USA.  
He is one of the artists who participated in the “Poetry of Brush and Ink”, Taiwan-Myanmar Art and Culture Exchange Exhibition that was held at the Nawaday Tharlar Gallery in 2018, Yangon.
